Dog Sledding Tour

Dates/ 1^st December - 1^st March (depending on snowfall)

Day 1 – You are met at a place of your choosing (within Ulaanbaatar City) by your English speaking guide and one of our professional drivers. Your guide and driver take you on a 2-hour journey to Terelj on the eastern side of the city to meet your dogs. When ready, you will set off with a personal dog sled, guided by a professional dog driver with your original guide acting as a translator. You travel for half the day today and spend the night with some herders in their traditional ger.

Day 2 – After a traditional breakfast of boiled mutton and maybe some rice you set off once again for a full day of sledding in the majestic Terelj National Park. The dogs will pull you along frozen river beds, through wintry forests and across stunning snow fields. You will spend another night with nomadic people where you will eat a traditional Mongolian goat barbecue, Khoorhog.

Day 3 – Today you return to your original drop off point and meet back up with your driver. Waving goodbye to your dogs you will return to the city again where your driver will drop you off at a location of your choice.
