Travel from Ulaanbaatar:
Flights depart from Ulaanbaatar every few days to Baruun Urt taking around 4 hours. From here there is a drive of around 4 hours on mixed roads.
Driving takes 2 days on reasonable but mixed roads.
Advice :
Take everything you will need with you as there are very few shops outside of the city.
You will need comfortable shoes that you are happy to walk long distances in but that are also suitable for horse riding.
Whilst there are few accommodation options here there will be several nomad families in the area.
Make sure to take a sleeping bag, tent and warm, windproof clothing.
