Flights depart to Mörön city from Ulaanbaatar every few days, from the airport, Khatgal ia approximately a 1 hour drive
Driving will take 14 hours from Ulaanbaatar on good roads
Advice:
Bring good walking boots
Arrange accommodation in advance as spaces fill up quickly in the summer months
The Khatgal Naadam festival is one of the few to admit foreigners as contestants during July each year
